Note: The music was performed in the basement of the club and piped upstairs to the audience. Rock impresario Giorgio Gomelsky (who opened London’s Crawdaddy Club in 1963 where he booked bands like The Rolling Stones, The Yardbirds and Led Zeppelin) moved to NYC in 1978 leasing a run down townhouse on West 24th street, where he lived on the top floor and ran the lower three floors as rehearsal and recording studios and often the ground floor as a club (called Plugg Club in the '80s and The Green Door in the late '80s). The Plugg logo was designed by Punk magazine's John Holmstrom.
