Note: For this small tour (labeled as "Lydia Lunch plays the music of The Anubian Lights") Lydia recruited members of Gallon Drunk and the Scapegoats. Terry and Ian had worked with her before on her Matrikamantra and the Smoke In The Shadows tours. "We were supposed to go to Russia with Lydia [..] but then we could not do it. We had signed a record deal with a new label [Rhythmbank Entertainment], and part of the deal was that we couldn't do no more side projects [..]. We sent the backing tapes to Lydia because with all the drum loops and samples on that music, it would have been very hard to perform those songs otherwise." Len Del Rio quoted in "Lydia Lunch- The War Is Never Over", a book by Nick Soulsby (Jawbone, 2020). |
